This past Sunday we had the honor of participating in the 7th annual Run for the Water here in Austin, Texas. Run for the Water is a 10-miler/5K/Kids1K race that benefits the Gazelle Foundation.
The Gazelle Foundation funds and builds clean water projects in Burundi, Africa. The Foundation’s formation was inspired by Gilbert Tuhabonye, a Burundi survivor of the Hutu/Tutsi civil upheaval of the 1980′s and 90′s which reached a “peace” agreement in 2008. Since the foundation's inception, over 20,000 Burundians have been served with clean, potable drinking water with an estimated 10,000 to be served for the remainder of 2013.
Although it may have been a rainy Sunday morning, it didn't slow down the 4,228 registrants from having a successful race day. And as always, we had a blast supporting one of our favorite causes. Here are a few race day photos--enjoy!

It's finally October! While others may associate this month with jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and goblins; here at Soleus, October means one thing. Marathon season has officially begun!
To celebrate the season we are on the move and you can find us across the country at a few of our favorite races. If you are racing or in the area be sure to stop by and say hi. And as always, be sure to tag us in your race day photos so that we can share in your moment!
Flash, one of our chest based heart rate monitors, is featured in the October 2013 issue of Fitness Magazine!
Flash HRM enables you to set a personalized training zone and maintain your cadence to achieve optimum performance. The comfortable chest belt wirelessly sends your BPM to your watch or analog gym equipment for convenient display and the watch can also audibly alert you to make sure you stay in the zone.
At a retail price of $59.00, Flash allows you to try "Striding to the Beat" without breaking the bank--- which is always a big plus in our book!
June's issue of Triathlete Magazine featured a head-to-head comparison of the GPS Fit and the Garmin Forerunner 10.
The verdict? Soleus wins for capabilities! The Fit allows you to track interval workouts and display them on a split screen which is a huge plus for runners while training.
Added bonus? All GPS watch purchases now come with a data upload cable at no additional cost!
